A New Day
Tuesday, April 25th, 2006I’ve been really busy with work lately. YES, I said WORK!
I got a field placement position for my Criminology study at SFU in January, and that kept me busy until April. Towards the end of the field practice, my supervisor told me that the unit was interested in hiring me on for a three month contract work for a new project the unit was starting. Just as I signed the contract, the project leader asked if I would be interested in interviewing for a higher position. They needed an information administrator for the entire duration of the project. I got hired thirty minutes after the panel interview. And here I am, two weeks after the end of my university career, I am working as an information administrator of this project our team is working on, and I am supposed to supervise two people. XD
I did not expect getting a job would be that easy. I guess I really lucked out, and my computer study from God-knows-how-many-years-ago is finally paying off. My photography study is not going to the trash. I volunteered to take pictures for a co worker of mine who is working on a really exciting project. More details on that is coming!
I hope everyone is doing well. I miss you all.
