My first assistant Bobby said that this world is packed with the problem of chicken and egg. He is so damn right. ~_~ Let me give you a few examples:
To install a SCIS CD-ROM drive, you need a driver that is on a CD. But without the driver, you will not get your CD-ROM working…
To get a job, you need work experience. But without work experience, you are not likely to get a job…
To get a great photography job, you need a great portfolio. But without any income, you are not going to have the money to build a great portfolio…
Arrrrr!!!!!
And here is my…
Something new: I got a new hard drive and my computer is running nice and smooth now, woot!
Something old: I found a project that I did for my Career and Personal Planning class back when I was in grade 12. It was a card that tells other people something about you. Under "5-year goal," I wrote "I wish to graduate from UBC and have a job in the field of computing science." 9 years later, I’m working on my undergradate degree in criminology at SFU. ~_~
Something borrowed: A found a CD that I borrowed from my friend back in highschool in a pile of mess in the basement. What should I do with it? ><
Something blue: It took me and my brother four hours to figure out how to get RAID 1 working on my computer, sigh.

Don’t you just love it when you come to my blog and found that it is called Sick Bay? :p I figured Sick Bay is the place that Kes hang out in the most, so why not name my blog after it? Besides, I am probably not feeling well one way or another if I actually bother writing it down so that you guys can suffer with me. ~_~ By the way, my livejournal account is gonna be closed down soon I think because I don’t update it often enough. It’s hard having 10 million accounts all over the internet. After my hard drive died on me, I pretty much lost all the access information to most of the sites that I hardly go back again after singing up. This would be the perfect time for me to consolidate some of my sites into one central location. Okei, enough background information.
Nothing much new is going on with me. I’m still the same old me. Go to school, organize photo shoots, play some computer games, and try to slack off for as much as possible. Life is good! I am working to get a decent portfolio that I can use to apply for photography jobs when I graduate in next April. I still have time but getting one good photo could take forever. I assembled a 15 people crew for my next photo shoot - thank you for all these willing souls; some of you guys don’t know what you have committed yourself into.
I will try to be nice. ;) We received an extra gross warning from the profession in our Advanced Forencis Science class. Yeah, it’s really gross… I really don’t feel like reading about pathology at 2:45 AM and that’s why I am writing stuff in here instead.
And for my…
Something new: I can’t sketch people! What the hell? I seriously thought I could draw!
Something old: The Vogues magazines I brought in 2003 are actually very useful. There are some really great pictures that I am using as references for my up coming photo shoot.
Something borrowed: The Corrs CD with the song "Would You Be Happier"!
Something blue: Orlando Bloom got back with his ex girlfriend. ~_~
Currently on CD Player: "A Series of Unfortunate Events" soundtrack, Maroon 5’s "Songs About Jane" and Dave Matthews Band’s "Stand Up"
